DJI Mini 2 Drone

The DJI Mini 2 is a great drone for beginners looking to capture high-quality aerial footage. According to a review by TechRadar, the DJI Mini 2 is the perfect entry-level drone for beginners looking to get to grips with flying, capturing, and editing birds-eye views of beautiful landscapes and cityscapes (where permitted). The DJI Mini 2 offers 4K resolution, although it has a smaller sensor size than the Mini 3 Pro and lacks obstacle avoidance sensors. But whichever you opt for, you won’t be disappointed, as long as you're happy to shoot during the brighter daylight hours¹.  The DJI Mini 2’s design is virtually identical to that of the Mavic Mini, but what’s seen a revamp is that controller, which is beautifully streamlined and delivers a boosted experience. Just like its larger Mavic siblings, the Mini 2 is collapsible with arms that unfurl to transform the palm-sized unit into a drone with just a few spring-loaded maneuvers. The Mini 2 weighs less than 249g. This means it doesn

Bowers & Wilkins PX8 ANC Wireless Headphones

Image
The Bowers & Wilkins PX8 headphones are a great choice for anyone looking for a high-quality wireless listening experience. According to a review by TechRadar, the PX8 headphones offer agile, detailed, class-leading sound and supreme comfort during wear¹. The same review also praises the classy build and finish of the headphones¹. Another review by Sound & Vision describes the PX8 headphones as the newest flagship over-ear noise-canceling headphones, firmly placed at the top of their "reference" quality lineup. While the price is a gut-punching £599, the build and sound quality just might be worth it. Every touchable surface of the Px8 oozes luxury². The PX8 headphones are also incredibly good-looking, with a sleek and modern design that is sure to turn heads. They come with a 30-hour battery life, which means they'll last the whole day¹. The effective (if not jaw-dropping) ANC and solid suite of features completes a compelling proposition from B&W¹.  Overall,

Our first all Electric Car - Cupra Born v3

Image
When my wife’s current car (Volvo XC40) contract was coming to an end, we started to explore all electric cars as potential replacement. There were a few reasons behind this thought process….firstly my current X5 45e inspired me to think of getting an electric car, secondly the costs, thirdly no congestion charge in London and above all our Solar Panel installation at home - potentially making running costs to a bare minimum(specially during the summer months)! After some thorough research we short-listed the VW ID3, Cupra Born, Tesla model 3, Renault Megane e-tech, Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. Had to rule out Kia and Hyundai as both were slightly larger than the Volvo XC40 we were planning on replacing. Unfortunately for Renault as well as Tesla the prices were just not reasonable enough at the time of placing the order. So we were left between the ID3 and Born - that was relatively simple as the Cupra definitely stood out in the looks department with a more aggressive sporty look. We

Cinema Room Upgrades

Image
The “upgraditis” bug has bitten me again!  I started looking at upgrades for my cinema setup over the past 12-18 months. Initially managed to get a really decent BenQ 4K short throw projector (during the Pandemic). Best thing about the BenQ was its ability to literally slot into the old BenQ projector location. No changes were required, just plug and play!  The picture quality showed a huge improvement specially with 4K capabilities and HDR10 as standard.  The overall experience with the BenQ was so good that I recommended the same projector to my brother in Canada in his new cinema setup.  BenQ W2700 is overall a great short throw projector with good 4K capabilities.  Obviously it couldn’t end just with the Projector upgrade!  I started looking at speaker upgrades for my front three speakers. I shortlisted two contenders for my specific price point - Focal or Bowers & Wilkins. After thorough research I decided on the B&W 603 S2 Anniversary Edition and B&W HTM6 S2 Anniversa

Time for a change! BMW X5 XDrive 45e

Here we go again….!  Its been nearly 3 years since I have been driving my Jaguar. Absolutely love it!!! However the idea of selling it was instilled into my mind by Jaguar. Following my car maintenance service I was invited by Jaguar to consider selling my car as they could really give me a good value for it, keeping in mind the condition it was in and the current state of car market with very little new car stock in place.  Unfortunately Jaguar, didn't have any cars in stock which I felt was going to be an upgrade from my current Jaguar XF! The earliest I could get one from Jaguar on factory order would be at least 12 months away due to part shortages!  Then I started to look at the VW Touareg R - Petrol Plug in Hybrid - kind of best of both worlds - luxury SUV with hybrid engine at the same time. My last experience with the Touareg was just awesome! Loved the drive, comfort, spacious seating for the passengers, reliability, etc.... I can go on! I contacted VW dealerships and was

Skye & Silver - British Shorthair

Image
Can’t ever imagine a person like me agreeing to get a cat, let alone getting two kittens to be part of our family. Someone had to give in following the relentless requests (pressure) from both my sons and wife. But I have to declare, once I started looking at the pictures of kittens, I just fell in love with the British Shorthair breed. They were just adorable to say the least. Reading and learning more about them made me feel confident that they would suit our family well.  We managed to find a person locally who had recently had two Grey/Blue BSH female kittens and we went to see them for the first time on the 10th of July. My younger son was super excited (the most I have ever seen him, his entire life) and I was pleased to see that my older son and wife really enjoyed the experience following our first interaction with both the kittens. We all just wanted to take the kittens with us, but for the best of reasons (2nd lot of immunisations and our planned holiday) we had to wait anoth

Apple iPad Pro 12.9” Liquid Retina XDR with M1 Processor

Apple iPad Pro 12.9 256GB Wi-Fi in Space Grey H aving been using my last Apple iPad 12.9 inch 2019 model as my go to tablet/Laptop device for all my work and occasionally for personal browsing when the opportunity arose, I had to upgrade!!! I was chatting with my brother in-law and guiding him on which tablet/laptop device to recommend for my nephew for note taking/educational purposes. What else can an Apple fan boy recommend?? Once I managed to convince him - he popped a question I hadn’t even thought of - “are you willing to sell your current iPad??” That was it! Immediately I started visualising using the latest iPad Pro 12.9 XDR Display M1! To say that it took any form of convincing would be ridiculous! At the drop of a hat, I started scanning the market if it was in stock anywhere for collection the same day! Lol!! Within minutes I found John Lewis store in High Wycombe - 17.8 miles away from home - where they had 2 pieces in stock. Needless to say I was at the store collecting t
