Samsung 46inch 3D TV - UE46D7000

WOW, what a purchase! Just replaced our 1st generation Sony Bravia KDLV32A10 32 inch LCD TV - of nearly 6 years with a 46 inch 3D TV. For the first time ever, we have gone for a different brand (not a Sony) - as I felt the picture quality on the Samsung was much superior. I tested all the latest designs, picture quality, 3D quality at the local John Lewis and Costco (Watford) and found the Samsung and Panasonic to be the best. The few reasons why we went for the Samsung over the Panasonic - 1) colour - much superior on the LED than the plasma, 2) aesthetics and design of the TV, specially the bezel which is a few mm wide, and 3) plasma feels like yesterdays technology (personal opinion). The thin bezel makes the entire TV look so much smaller in comparison to the 32inch Sony that it feels more like 40 inch tv. Normal 2D TV in HD is just stunning. Pictures are bright and crisp and I can definitely see better contrast levels than most LEDs I have seen available in the market. The SMART h

Apple iPad 2 32gb wifi only

Purchased the Apple iPad 2 as a present for my wife on launch day. I definitely think they have made it a lot better in comparison to the first generation iPad. You can feel the dual core speed in graphic intense applications - i.e games, photos, video editing and the amazing Garageband. Making it thinner and lighter than the first generation just adds to the speed. Facetime is something which we have been using from day one which is the only reason why we use the camera on the iPad, other than that, the odd size of the gadget makes the camera use redundant. If its not me playing with the Garageband, its my son trying to 'create' some music. The most recent app I have downloaded is the Daily Mail app. Not really my kind of newspaper - but the concept and layout of the app is really good. Cant wait for my favourite newspaper to come in the cool iPad format which I would not mind paying for. I have not yet seen any of the iPad competitors in flesh but I definitely do not think t
